Job Title: Administrator (Proposals Estimator)
Salary:Up to 21K

Are you numerate? Do you enjoy analytical work? If yes, please read on. Our client, a large blue-chip reading based organisation, is currently looking to recruit a trainee proposals estimator to join their team. The role offers excellent career progression opportunities for the right candidate.

Overview:
Responsible for the production of estimates or part estimates as requested by Chief Principal and Project Estimating Engineers.
Duties:
To keep informed of developments in design, construction and estimating techniques in the process plants and associated Industries.
Recommend to Chief Estimating Engineer, changes to the department systems and work practises to improve the efficiency and accuracy of estimating, including areas for technical investigation.
For each assigned estimate:
Review and agree with the Supervising Estimator the scope, basis and methodology of the estimate.
Produce the estimate based on the agreed methodology and job specifications.
Review each estimate with the Supervising Estimator to confirm the correct estimating methodology has been used and agree the quality and accuracy of the estimate and contingency level if appropriate.
Complete arithmetic check of estimate produced.

•Previous experience manipulating Data
•Good analytical skills
•Persistence / tenacity
•Ability to effectively communicate to candidates at all levels
•Information sharing
