Job Title: Assistant Logistics Manager - CPC
Location: South East/Southern - East Sussex
Salary: £25,000.00 - £29,999.99

The Role:
To maximise the availability of transport for the efficient and most
cost effective movement of waste and recycling and to optimise
any additional capacity in haulage. Man manage, recruit, training.
Experience of vehicle management.

Key Responsibilities:
To oversee the scheduling of the transport on a daily basis, day to
day supervision of staff and drivers particularly in relation to driving
skills, vehicle accidents and productivity, and to carry out the
appropriate training/investigations. To assist in the enforcing and
updating of the operating and safety procedures and to ensure the
health and safety and the well being of staff, visitors, temporary
staff, vehicles and property. To make the necessary
arrangements to ensure that overtime and absences are kept to a
minimum and that sufficient resources are available to cover
busier periods. To ensure that the vehicles are presented for
inspection, service and MOT on a regular basis.

Experience & Skills:
Ability to work autonomously, controlling spending and resources
in the best interest of the contract/company. Excellent
communication skills at all levels. Experience of vehicle
management - CPC, tachographs, driving hour's regulations.
