Employee Relations Advisor

London

Temporary Contract with immediate start

£40,000 - £45,000


My client is a large Insurance company who are currently looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join their London office on a temporary contract. This position offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 and requires someone who is free to start immediately.


As Employee Relations Advisor you will be required to provide advice and support to the Business in respect of Employee Relations issues. You will support the Employee Relations Manager with Employment Tribunals, coach and support managers with grievances, disciplinarians and sickness absence management and add value to the Business in pursuit of the overall strategy and objectives.


The successful applicant will assist the Employee Relations Manager to develop and deliver the provision of a centre of excellence in the area of Employee Relations including the delivery of objectives, business process re-engineering, project and change management.


Specific responsibilities for this role include:

• Advising the business in the understanding, ownership and application of all aspects of employment legislation, procedural compliance and best practice
• Clear and accurate interpretation and communication of changes in legislation and codes of practice to the Business
• Ensure through advice and monitoring that policies and procedures are implemented consistently and that the core values of the Business are upheld
• Develop effective relationships with the Business to promote good employee relations
• Monitor and analyse trends of activity and propose remedial action / policy changes to correct / improve employee understanding and management of employee relations issues

To be considered for this position you must be part CIPD qualified or educated to at least A Level standard (or equivalent), have strong communication skill and the ability to deliver sound HR practices and creative HR solutions.
