Registered Nurse (RNLD) required for 12 bedded residential home caring for and supporting adults with learning disabilities based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Candidates should be RNLD qualified and have prior experience of working with adults in a residential environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to assist in providing effective leadership to the team in order to ensure the best possible care of the service users within overall objectives and resources. You will be responsible for the assessment of nursing care needs, and will participate in the development, implementation and review of Care Plans, including taking on the role of named nurse for individuals, and may be required to teach other staff. Additionally the post holder is designated to act as the Registered Nurse in line with CSCI requirements, and assist in the management of staff.
Residents at the home have multiple and complex health needs and include residents that are non verbal, therefore, candidates should have previous experience working with adults that require ongoing care.
The home is based in a quiet residential area and is made up of 2 houses that have been redeveloped into one property.
